Pondicherry

Give time a break………this what all of us wanted from a long time……………Pondicherry, which other place can give us that. We were eight numbers in all……………four on bikes and four in a car (all unclesJ) . The characters are Harsha, Prasad,Kishore,Chandu,Alwandi,Ganesh, and Raghav and I modhu.WE had three bikes a Bullet and two Pulsars. Things were not working for the trip for a pretty long time…….finally this did happen. We were slated to leave Bangalore on Sat morning at 06:30AM. But uncles can’t grow up for ever,,,,,,,,we left Bangalore at 7:45AM….the traffic had picked up b then and there was a jam near Attibele. We had planned to travel via Hosur-Krishnagiri-Thiruvanamallai-Pondi. It is a NH and the road is awesome u can just hit the pedal and just cruise thru. We crossed Hosur and immediately after that we had our dinner…..the cab had got stuck on the traffic and we were waiting for them. So let me tell u another story till these guys can catch up with us. Harsha was most xcited with the trip , he had his bike serviced for the trip and was already. His insurance for the bike had expired and he paid it on the last day……so he had not yet received the acknowledgement. He realized it one day before in the night, alas he had to drop hi Unicorn. Well these guys are here lets have breakfast and in the mean time let me sort the ages. Kishore, Chande,Alwandi and Prasad were in the car, Harsha and I were in the bullet, and ganesh and raghav were on their pulsars. After having breakfast we left….at the first petrol bunk we had our tanks filled with petrol, after that I decided let me zoom with my bike I was waiting for this moment. I touché 110 and later while was going at 100 there was a huge explosion and the engine cut off……..I went really mad……..n tensed in the middle of highway there was no way to get help. But then the engine strted after 2 kicks but there was an additional sound like a tinkering in the engine……….I carried on . The drive till krishnagiri is great from there we have to deviate. The road from krishnagiri to Thiruvanamallai is not all that good…… it goes on n off…….the entire stretch is engulfed with tress so the drive was even better. When we reached Thiruvanamallai we were spellbound by the temple. Well I admit we don’t know anything abt the temple. We were hungry and so we had some good meal in a restaurant. From there to pondi the road is really good but the ride was really bad….thanks to the scorching summer sun……………….it was blowing hot air, water got hot…hot as in finger bowl hot as in chetinnad food…phew we were feeling really frustrated and sweating…………..to top it up sleep was groping us up. We stopped on the highway there was a stack of ay in a field…..had a small nap ……….it was refreshing. We reached pondi at 5:00Pm……the region was undergoing by elections so there were few diversions and blockages.

Pondi gives u a very good feeling things happn at its own pace and the weather is really different…………….hot n humid. The place was bustling with the week end crowd. We checked in to the hotel. The cabbies had already reached. It was great to get into an ac room after a long hot n dry drive. Had a shower and ac blown all over the body. Took some rest and then went for a long walk on beach road. It just next to sea….Bay of Bengal to be in specific. Sea water was lashing against the walls and the sound n smell was really welcoming. Localities and tourist were having a stroll and the crowd was huge……even then it never felt like taking a walk in Forum. Well there was a Gandhi statue there and it was surrounded by 6 pillar in white they were really beautiful. In the mean time we had ice cream. After the walk we were all hungry, thirsty and tired…..went in search of a restaurant and finally landed in a French restaurant Le Club…….the ambience was good. We had to wait 15 good min and that was killing all of us. We had beer fish, panner, fries, rice, dal and rotis. We walked bak to our hotel and slept. The hotel where we had boarded is Ram Guest. It is a nice place and as a heritage touch to it. The care taker speaks French and he wised us Bonjoure in French meaning good morning the next day. Since my bike was not in good condition I went in search of a mechanic thanks to the care taker who guided me to the garage. It was a Royal Enfield authorized garage and being a Sunday it was closed. I called up the owner Mr.Felix who came down to the workshop and had a look at the problem and advised me what to do. While searching the garage and on our way back we had a good time looking around Pondi local stuff. We got ready and had our break fast in Indian Delight restaurant. After that our local sight seeing started. We first went to a church named Notre Dame deses Church. The church is very old and sea facing. From there we went to Mannakkula Vinayaka Temple, it was very crowded and the sun did not encourage us to go in. here was an elephant outside the temple that was drawing a good amt of crowd. By now the sun had played its trick we were all sweating profusely and the sight of ice cream was welcoming. We had ice cream and from there we walked to Aurobindo Ashrama. Well I don’t know who this personality is…..but has a hue fan fallowing. Some religious guy. After that we had tender coconut to chill us out but that was not enough. From there we went to Auroville ashram part of Aurobindo ashram 10Km away from pondi toward Chennai. The place is full of greenery and very silent. There is a globe kinda structure where u can meditate, to get there u need passes…which we did not get coz we were late. Well so we had stroll and had a lime juice. We spent good amt of time there. Later we decide to have lunch in a beach resort. On the way I did some shopping got a pair of slippers. Well we had beer dat was really needed at that point of time……..nice way to chill out. After a good meal we hit the beach. It was not crowded but very inviting. We had fun in the sea…it was a shallow beach and the waves were really strong. It was great in the beach…….playing in the strong waves. Except for uncle Chandu all of us were in the water. After a good time in the beach we headed bak to our hotel. The bikers had decided to leave early in the morning so we had our tanks filled before we went t the hotel. After having a shower we went for dinner and then slept early. The next day we started off at 6:30AM in the morning to Bangalore. On the way there is Gingee Fort. Boy it is really beautiful and a magnificent fort made of stones. The location so strategic,,,,,,,surrounded on three sides by hills it would have been impossible for any army to break in. just BEAutiful. Well we had some tough time riding bak home coz of the sun and I must say I have drunk so much aerated drinks and maaza. Never ever I wud have drank so much other than beer. Reached Bangalore at 3:45Pm and home at 4:30Pm. The cabbies were late by around 3 hrs.

Rajkumar and Yercaud

long time since anything hapend here. well i did get my Bullet fpr my Birthday:-)
I was longing to go on a bike trip .....and the time line was prety well laid in from of me. It was to be on the good Friday when we were getting three days holidays in a row. i was all gread up for the ride but hingd took such big U turn. On Wed I was woring and suddenly there was news that Dr.Rajkumar passed away due to heat attck. this man is a cinema actor and for the ppl he has the image of a god. well i knew one thing that Bangalore would be thrown into havoc. ppl in my ofc started leaving with the fear of geting stuk in any unwary incident. the next day was also declared a holiday. his death created such sik scenes all over bangalore............i was watching all this siting at my home................wat a way bid adieu to your fav actor................it was a mockery of shouwing love to a person. DISGUSTING......well in the mean time we (AK,Chandu,Raghav,Mindu and Sheik Ponni) were discussing as t o where to go for 2-3 days oon bikes. first to bak off was Chandu as he had a release to work on.......nxt cam AK for saving himself from GOOSEBUMPS......den Mindu was had an un-expected work to be finished over the weekend.......so only Raghav and myself were left out for the trip althought we were ready to go.................but 2 ppl wont be fun on a long bike trip. so it was called offf and i was damn pissed offf..:-((
out if the blue Abhi called me up and said shall we go on a trip there is a car available over the weekend,,,,,,and it was all over again. we decided to go to Yercaud..............240Km drive from Bangalore . It is very near to Salem in Tamil Nadu. So on Good Friday we (Abhi, Jogle and his wife Vanita) started from my house at 6:30AM. took some stuff on the way and by the time we left bangalore it was 8:15AM. We first crossed Hosur which is 40Km from here. The road being a National Highway was awsome to drive on. just put ur leg on the acellerator pedal and zoooooooooooooom:-).
we had breakfast after crossing Hosur and then we headed to Salem..........we had to cross Krishnagiri and Dharmapuri to reach Salem. The road btw Krishnagiri and Dharmapuri is really bad. we had to hit brakes. when we reached Salem it was 12:30PM. from there Yercaud is 30km of ghat sectio. the ascend was good with the temp dropping each km we ascended...........when we reached the hill top our first job was to get a hotel to stay. we looked in 6 hotels before we got an accomomdation. we got a cottage and the amt for the stay was Rs1500.00 it is while we were paying this amt we realised that we did not have enough money for our trip.......we did not have cash as previous day all the ATM were closed coz of the voilence. so were in literaly in soup.....we had somr 700 in hand. the hotel guy did not take card as his machine was conged up.
so were spending like crazy.......keeping tab on every Rs10 that was spent. after having lunch and freshing up in the room we went to this place Pagoda point.............a scenic spot. we spent some time there and headed to Lake. There we did boating for abt half an hour and after that we had T in a road side shop.it was fun doing soemthing very local.....well wid less money though. then we took a long walk on the hills in the dark......it was getting colder as time was passing by. the we decided that we will go to a place that accepts card for dinner. there was this place Hotel Grand Plaza which was glad to accept the card we were so happy. we went in and the firat thing was DRINKS...........unfortunately that being a Govt. Holiday no liquor was served..:-((
so we just hogged and then we spent some time in the lawn, this place is at a good height and it is really chilly.we were there till 9:30 and then we left to our cottage we went to the terrace and spent time till 10:30............the place is perfect if u want to be isolated and be calm.................very soothing.
then we slept and the next day got up pretty early and went for a morning walk. we got ready after that and checked out of the room and headed to have breakfast. we went to a hotel run by Tamil Nadu Tourism.............but the scenec there did not encourage to have ay food..........there was a family shouting at the staff for food poisoning. we went to another place after that we had plans to go to water falls.................but there was no water sp we to Gents Seat and Ladies Seat................it was just a scenic place..............i did not know wat gender had to do with the place..........at around 12 noon we left bak to bangalore.........on the way in Salem we got a ICICI atm and withdrew money......boy we finally had money it was a huge relief..........on the way we stopped at a Reliance Petrol Bunk for food. we reached bangalore at 5:00PM but the traffic got me home at 6:00PM

GOA

“Go Goa” was the Mantra “Eat, Drink and Make Merry” was our Motto. This year we went to Goa to celebrate New Year as wildly as possible as a Bachelor.!!!!! Well nine of us took this trip to paradise in India. The gang was totally weird and crazy it had Ponni, Kishore, Naveen(Chandu),Harsha (Tsunami/Mindu), Ganesh(Gen),Rajendra, Dinesh(DVD),Prasad (Kempi) and myself Modhu(BK). One hell of people in a helluva of a place. Goa is a tiny state situated on the Western Coast sharing its borders with Maharashtra on the North, Karnataka on The East . The place is very vibrant with tourists and this time of the year it is fantastic, fabulous, sexy, colorful, hot and wild.
Well Gen and I started off from
Bangalore on the 26 Dec night to Belgaum. We went to Belgaum to attend Abhi’s sister’s marriage. The marriage was on 28 Dec but we were there in advice just to kill less the corporate world would have done dat. It fun to be there in Belgaum for two days. Got to know abt the Marathi Culture. Their marriage was full of fun all the family members were so involved and every moment of it hey were having fun. There was good food, a dance completion between the bride and groom party and I should say bride side raped the groom party. The next day i.e. on 28th the rest of the gang arrived to Belgaum. We picked them up from the railway station in a Cruiser and went to Kempi’s house. We all got freshened up and attended the marriage. After the marriage and food and things like that we left for GOA at around 4:00 PM. The Cruiser was big enough for us to sleep royally and travel. On the way we came across a place called as Thillary. It is a like a hill station and power is generated. This place is in Maharashtra. The place is very steep and scenic. You can see a lot of hills and mountain from this point and the greenery adds to the beauty. We had a photo session here and mindu was forced not be in the photos. He went to attend natures call and I went behind him to shoot him on a CALL. He was so conscious that he kept running away from me in the call. Well finally he was trapped in the bushes and had to surrender to Mother Nature. From there we proceeded to complete the remaining journey. We reached Goa at around 7:30 PM and checked into our rooms which were booked earlier in Circuit House in Altino Hills. This place is right behind the Residence of Chief Minister of Goa. The rooms were big enough to accommodate all of us. We did not go any where that night as all of us were tired of consecutive traveling and decide to be there in the room itself. We ordered some beer and food and watched TV and slept.

The next day we got ready as early as possible except for the delay blocks Harsha and DVD and left for sight seeing. We had breakfast in Kamath Hotel in Panaji. Adjacent to the hotel there was a shop selling shirts to suite the Goan spirit we purchased a lot of them and decided to wear the next day. We went to Old Goa where there were churches to be visited. St Catherine was the first one. This church had tomb stones of some personality in the floor. It was built in Portuguese Style and was beautiful. There were a few painting on the wall which was good but the maintenance was really bad and the color on them was fading away. Opposite to this church is Bom Jesus Bascillica. This church houses the body of St Francis Xavier. This guy had come to India to spread Christianity. His body has been preserved here for a long time. It seems that the coffin is opened once in 10 years for the public to view, after visiting these two churches we headed towards Ponda for Lunch. On the way we visited two temples Ganesh and Mahangtesh temple. Mahangtesh temple was good and there were few chicks also to be seen;-). Here in the local market Gen got a tattoo done on his arm. The tattoo was not permanent, it was a dye that would stay there for about 2 weeks. Then we reached Ponda and had lunch and lots of beer. The scorching heat was a good reason for us to drink more beer although we had not yet been to any beach, After filling ourselves to the brim we left Colva beach. This beach had lots of people and there was Water Sports also like Parasailing, waterbikes and banana ride and things like that. We bought some Frisbees to play with. It was great fun to play with on the beach sand and fall tooo. After that one by one we took chances to Parasail, I was the first one to sail in the air and it was awesome. It is a great feeling to be high up in the air and the vast air below you. Fully maja madi. Later we all hit the sea. In the water also we played with the Frisbees and ahaha it was better than playing it on the sand, we played in the sea till the sunset and dried ourselves, I am not a sea maniac I hate the salt water. We had a cup of Tea on the beach and left for Vasco da Gama. Vasco is a port and there is not much to see. We went to a beach called Bogmalo Beach. This beach was small and kinda private, there were hardly any people and it was great to walk on the sand (my personal favorite). We took a long stroll on the beach and went to a restaurant called Joet’s. This place had a lots of foreigners and started drinking. Many of us Gen, Kishore, Naveen and I tasted Fenny. I did not like it that much. Then I ordered for a Pomfret fish masala. Hmmmmmmmmmm when I was served with the dish yuppy it was a big fish cooked so well that my mouth was watering. It had been a long time since I had fish in a coastal region. The fish was great I ate till the last bone. To end up my dinner I had a Tequila shot. DVD had a glass of beer and affected him drastically, he started feeling light and a little heavy and pressurized at one point. Gen who had already gulped down fenny and beer had joined Kishore and Chandu with Port Wine, Chandu was drinking like a maniac who had just returned from the desert thirsty. Phew I was shouting at him to stop drinking and eat something. Which he did not do. There was a good looking babe in the restaurant. After this we left to Panji to sleep we reached our rooms at midnight. All the places that we covered on the first day are in South Goa.

On the second day we got ready asap and thing like that. We were destined to visit the northern half of the state. First we went to a fort called as Aguada. Aguada in Portuguese means Water Storage. The for was built to store water and ammunition. It was at a height and gave a scenic view of the sea and the adjoining shore. The sun always gets ur spirit down here. After this we went to Calangute beach. On the way I struck a deal with mindu. The deal was that when I write this blog he will have to pay me that percentage which will be correct in this blog. So the stakes are high as I write this blog. As we approached the beach the traffic was getting thicker and we were seeing small jams. The beach was happening with helluva of people from all over the world. It was a sight to be watched, it looked like of those California beaches or something like that lots and lots of people having fun, here also there were water sport options. We took up a shack and settled down on the inclined benches with beer. Most of them went into the water to have fun. Four of us decided to have beer, get burnt and look at the crowd. In the mean time there was TV crew who had come to cove the enthu of the ppl on new years eve. After the water kids back we ordered for food. I should say that Gen is a HUGE DRINKER,,,,,,,he will some day evolve into a barrel drinker. Oh yeah for the food I had King Fish, the dish was served to us on a platter and there was so much that I did not feel like eating it. Here in one of the photos while I was looking now I saw that Ponni had a tummy similar to and Earthen Pot J. I am a goner now for this he e he he he. There was one event that occurred between Ponni, Harsha and myself. The action was by Ponni, the event took place on Harsha and the reaction was on me and Harsha. I guess Newton’s Laws of Motion are applicable here also……….. Close to sunset we left Calangute beach and headed to Baga Beach the traffic was too much and there was huge jam. We were not allowed to go to the beach and we were at a junction where going back to the beach was illogical, so we headed to back to Panji to take a cruise along the river Mandovi. This is a major attraction amongst the tourists. We got the tickets in advance and had an hour or so spare. S went shopping for Booze and Cashew. I got some Bacardi Breezer, port Wine and a Schnapps and lots of Cashews. We dumped our belongings in the Cruiser. The driver had locked down the doors and we some how got into the vehicle to dump these stuffs. We were standing in the q for the cruise and slowly we realized that the crowd was pathetic there were lot of Panjabis who were sick to the core and creating nuisance,,,,,,,,,,,it was pathetic. As the minutes passed by we realized that we have made a bad investment. On board the Princess De Goa the Deck was brightly lighted and there was an attached bar. There were shows by Ukranians. They dance Tango and Rumba and things like that. It was great to see them dancing and especially one of them. We were pissed of the entire cruise and were like when can I jump off the ferry and get back to the shore. Finally after one and a half hour we were able to do it, by then we were hungry and went to restaurant by name Ruchis. Here we ate fully and went back to our rooms. This was one night where we did not have booze.

The next day the scenario was almost the same but we were supposed to vacate the room by noon because there were other bookings already done and a little miscommunication between us and the circuit house. Well dat was not an issue as we had to have a new year bash and weather we had a room or not was immaterial. We packed off from the rooms and went to Chapora Fort in North Goa after breakfast. Chapora Fort is the place where the movie Dil Chahta Hai was shot. It is a very scenic fort facing the sea. On either sides of the fort there are beaches. On one side of the fort is Arambol beach where there is sea water on one side and fresh water on the other side. On the other side there id Vagator beach. We did all those dil chahta hai stuff in the fort and then left for Vagator beach. The beach is cool and calm with lots of foreigners tanning their skins. The beach is a little rocky and the water is not violent, it was a lazy beach. We did the same things that we did in Calangute beach. Took up a shack had beer and food and things like dat, I took a long stroll on the beach and did some shopping in the stalls that were there. We were there till sunset and after sunset we went to Anjuna beach…….this is another famous beach in Goa. On Friday nights there will be a flea market where u get anything and everything. But coz of new year the market was not there but still there were enough shops selling some good stuff. We spent almost and hour in the market, I got a pipe which holds CHELUM a drug…….it is kinda good to have it. When we went to the beach the first sight that we got to see was that there was no one and no shacks or restaurants for us to have a bashL. But as we walked along the shore vola there were so many places that had a good crowd and it was happening. We settled I n a place called Liliput’s were we had our tables on the beach adjacent to a camp fire. Surprisingly there were a lot of foreigners partying there. We started off with beer and beer and beer and some vodka and wine there was no tequilaL. As the time passed by more ppl came by the place. There was good music being played and some of them dancing to the tune. At the stroke of mid night a wide variety of fire crackers were burst and boy wat a view was it especially after drinking….phew. then ppl really went out of control they started dancing like hell. All of them just dance madi the crowd was too much for me to dance so I just sat down enjoyed the momemt to with beer and fish. After some time played two frames of pool……it is a different feeling o play pool after u r drunk. Gen was almost sloshed and he also danced……I feel he has an inclination towards foreigners……..he goes and talks to them in all the places……..now dat he has danced for the new year he wished that he could dance the MARAMMA DANCE with some one that we know (ID cannot be disclosed). DVD was a goner after a bottle of beer ……he was feeling lighter and felt happy abt it. He also danced properly for the new year. Kishore, Ponni ,Kepi and Mindu all danced on the new years eve. It was nice to see these ppl to dance they rarely danced even in college functions they wud sit idle where as I wud freak out. But now they have made history.

The crowd was so energetic that they kept dancing…..wat pissed me off was the local crowd that just came by and screwed up the showL. The foreigners were excited to see such a crowd….they kept on taking snaps of the show. Revelers had fun and so be it, after a while we were out of fuel and we had to sleep but the shacks cud no way be placed on the beach coz of the crowd and we had no place to go so we decided to go bak to Belgaum to Kempi’s place. Before we cud leave I took a stroll on the beach and met a foreigner from Argentenia. He was very happy with the place and said this is happening. He was planning to spend one more week there in Goa,,,,,,,,,Goa is on the world Map……cool na. we left goa at 03:00AM and had to pass thru Tillarry Ghats. the ghats are not safe in the nights and it was hard foe me to keep my eyes open in the night I was constantly falling to sleep. When we passed by Thillary the wind was blowing very strongly and above that it as very chilly.

We reached Belgaum at 6:00AM and wat a relief it was to sleep. We all tugged ourselves to bed. Kempi did not sleep as his parents were off to Rajasthan and he had to drop them off. His mom had prepared some chapattis and dosas for us.I got up at 9:30AM in the morning and wat a relief it was I was feeling good. One by ppl got up and got ready for the new day of the new year. At around 1:30PM we left for Abhi’s house. He had invited all of us for Lunch. There was mutton gravy, mutton chops and fish fry for the two non-veggies. The veggies had a simple food. Boy wat meal it was…..I like the Mutton from the bottom of my heart, usually don’t eat it….my preferences are with fish and chicken. We had a nice time at his place. We played cards and badminton and Frisbees. At 6:15 PM after T we went to a joint in Belgaum famous for Vada Pav…we had vada pav and went to the bus station to catch the bus. The bus left Belgaum at 8:30Pm as soon as I sat on my seat I fell asleep and was woken up when we reached Bangalore. My tummy was all growling and making some strange noises. But I thought it wud be okay to wait till I reach home. We took a taxi to home and after we crossed Ulsoor Lake it was totally not under control. I asked the driver to stop at any empty site on the highway, as soon as I stopped I just ran and attended the call. There was a small shop in that plot and the owner was fuking shouting at me at the top of his voice where as I was just pleading to him just leave me ………thank fully he did not come near me to shoo me off. In the mean time kempi also got some receiving from the owner and a second later he asked for water so that I can clean up but he was shooed off. Phew wat an embarrassing moment for me. But then it was coolJ. We reached home and den went to ofc. It was very akward to be in ofc and work. I hope the others did not face anything like wat I did. Well I wud like to Abhijit’s family for their hospitality and doing the arrangements in goa and Kempi’s family too for their hospitality. And not forget the asses who took up this trip for wat ever reasons.

Bangalore Half Marathon

There was a half marathon (21.097Kms) on the 18th Dec 2005 organised in bangalore. the last marthon was about 6 months back then me and my roomie Harsha had ran 7Kms and boy that was a great experience. I had totally screwed up my left leg. was not able to walk for about a week terrific pain. this time we did some proper training in the gym and on roads. we were runing for an hour every day in the gym for the about four weeks. on one saturday we decided that we should run on the road as the conditions in the gym and on the road out in the open are diferent. we chose one saturday two weeks behind the D-day and ran 14kms . it was great we did have some time here we felt no way not possible but had to push ourselves to finish the run. it was great and we knew we cud do more. this was a major booster to our confidence. on the D-day there were about 200+ ppl to run for th ehalf marathom...was a little surprised that there were so many. ppl from all age were there to run the race. the start was from Kanteerva Stadium and the route was like this
Kanteerva Stadium -> Central Library->Vidhan Soudha->Rajbhavan ->Golf COurse -> Windsor Manor Bridge-> Palace Grounds-> Mekhri Circle-> CBI->Hebbal Flyover and the same route was traced back to the finish line.
The firat half of the journey was pretty fast 1Hr 05Min to reach Hebbal flyover, then it was like when where is the finish line. things were geting tough for me. i was more worried about Windsor Manor Bridge that has a good steep to climb................well some how i reached the starting pf the bridge and decided to walk drinking water. after the climb i started runing but it was turning out to be very difficult. the last 4kms to the finish line was horrible......my legs had reache their ultimate point of not caryying me anymore. i started shuffling between walking and running. some how i reached the finish line. harsha had already finished the race. Kishore and Chandu were there to shoot me with their camera in the finish line. it was a reat feeling . i took 2Hrs 38Min to finish where as Harsha took 2Hrs 08Min to finish the race. later i just wanted to eat and drink and eat and drink and dat is wat i did.
but i am disappointed that a Sheik friend of mine is not ready to accept that i ran that distance.fat ass is jeaoulous of me runing so much......he is a well acclaied sportsperson look at him and u will have a second thought he he he he he h eh eh eh eh

The Great Indian Marraige - II

I had talked abt the Indian marriage fun-fare, fan-fare, hoopla-la and the shit that happens in this occasion. I have more to talk abt the thing that happens before the boy or the girl or the parents of both the families give their final consent. The usual process

  1. the girl sees the boys photo and vice-a-versa
  2. Both of them agree and a meeting is set up usually in the girls place until the families or the individuals are daring enough to meet some where else to decide upon if the other can control their lives.
  3. The boy and girl see each other have a small chat in private.
  4. consent from both the families are exchanged after some days
  5. if it is a NO then no issues repeat the above again......if a yes then follow on
  6. the Horoscope of the bride and the groom are exchanged and matched
  7. if not matched then no problem repeat the above again else follow on
  8. once the stars and sun are in aligned in the right direction a date is set for the engagement
  9. engagement is done on the fixed day......yummy food
  10. Bride and groom are to be married woodbeeeeeees in a short time say two to three months.
  11. marriage day comes get marred(yummy foooood) go to honey-moon, return back to home.......return early to home from ofc in the pretext of ****
  12. And life goes on & on & on & on & on....

In these 12 steps to a great marriage and future married life a lot of things can happen in between. Like pursuing the girl or the boy to get married. This is the most shitties job one can imagine. Telling the boy or girl why he or she should marry her or him. It is like selling Ice creams in Arctic and Antartic.man I can be a good marketing executive.......who care if u w crack CAT and get a degree from IIM. ppl get married because of many reasons like age, coz they have to get married, coz they are in love, coz some body in their is sick and want to see their young ones married before they leave this planet and all. I still don’t know why ppl get married. well another issue dat happens is like the girls is not fair, fat, tall, short,round,.....all geometrics here and employed and et.al. The same also hold good with the boy but more importantly he is not earning enough money how can he take care of her??????Phew the guy will surely go for a whirlpool ride. Many a cases ppl have come close to getting engaged and their marriage proposals area called off coz of one of the many reasons cited above. Ppl get so close with each other in the due course of time when they meet their partners that if any such thing happens to them it literally tears them apart.
why the ppl cant just choose their partners, fuck the process let it be limited to the meeting part upto point2 and let them decide if they are compatible with each other? at least they have themselves to blame of anything goes wrong in the future.

Diwali and an Indian Wedding

Two mega events are lined up this year towards the end of monsoon. Diwali the festival of lights and my cousins marriage. Both these events are running back to back like some series of block buster movies in HBO or Star Movies. I think these occasions are itself a movie in disguise. Diwali the festival of lights marks of victory of good over evil, light over darkness. It was on this day that Lord Rama returned from exile of 14 years(forgive me with my history if I m wrong). People of Ayodhya welcomed him back home by lighting Diyas or Lamps in their houses. Since then the festival is celebrated by lighting lamps and bursting crackers and not to mention the sweets and slurpy food that accompanies the festival. I remember those days when we as kids used to burst crackers like maniacs. We use to get up wearly in the morning and have a competion as to who wud be the first person to burst the crackers. The show wud then go on for three days with great excitement and fun. My favorites then were the bombs that produced most of the noise. Boy we use to do crazy thing in the open ground of our school. Today after around 10 years of all this craziness there is no zest to burst crackers and have the same amount of fun. Surprisingly and shockingly the people also have seem to lost the interest. I did not find the environment being polluted by sound and smoke from the bursting of crackers. Wonder what has crept into the peoples minds. Is the modernization of the society and its residents or the conciseness of the people towards the environment or the lack of young school going kids (if this is true then I need to ‘fuk like minks and raise rug rats’ and bring back those lost days)? Well a lot of thinking will be done on this……..rit???

Marriage: the bonding of two souls…….dats wat the elders say (I heard of these in the movies than in real life). Wat ever to me it looks more like a DISCO a few moments of extravaganza, for some it is losing freedom, for some losing virginity and for some it is a compulsion. for me it is Worries Invited For Ever he he he he he;-). Indin weddinf is no fun and especially if u represent the bride. It is the bride’s family who takes care of the entire event I mean the marriage, the function, the food and in some cases even the DOWRY and many more that goes into this bonding. Man the bills seem to never end and money flows like water in a violent river. Get the whole family and close relatives clohes to wear, jwellery , shoes , watches and yield to the boys demands . these are the norms of the century. On the day of the marriage hell lot of people to take care and some weird questions to people whom u never met in your life time it just sucks. I strongly feel why have all these discos? To let the whole world know u, ur daughter or ur son is getting married????? Damn it then why don’t u put an ad in a leading daily news paper people will come to know about it. In my opinion get married in the court or a temple and host a decent reception. Fuk all this hoop-la and gimmick. Use that moey some where else……….maybe charity. Well it seems easy to write here wonder wat will happen to………..!!!!!!!

Nandi Hills & Royal Enfield

it has been a long time since i blogged kinda busy and slugish
well this weekend i decided not to do anything.......no ofc no reading just sleep eat and have fun
Kishore was here over the week end as we wanted to go to Nandi Hills for sleeping in solace, i mean it. I checked out the Royal Enfield bikes on Saturday evening it was great. I drove the bike on the inner ring road it was great 350cc of adrenaline rush.......woooooooooooosh
my roomate Harsha mite have shat in hos pants sitting behind me on the Bullet Thunder Bird. he was shaking he he he he he eh eh eh eh e............
I must admit that my misconception abt the weight and handling of the bike was washed away after the ride. I rode it like it was a Pulsar. I will be buying the bike maybe a Machismo or ThunderBird by this Diwali. (Ponni u fat ass..............grrrrrr). on Sunday morning we set off Kishore, Harsha and myself on our good old bike to Nandi hills 72 Kms drive from my house in Hoody (Neat ITPB), we reached the place at around 8:30 AM. The road is really goood six lane National Highway. The hill is not all that big in size, the weather is usually cold and windy up there. we had a walk in the morning and then a heavy breakfast and slept happily on the rocks near Tipppu's Drop......basking in the sun allowing Mother Nature to pplay it s game on the weather. It was changing from cloudy to sunny and windy......brrrrr. I slept happily listening to songs in the warmth of the sun. I suppoe i was lying on the rocks for abt an hour. it was really rejuvinating when i got up again. I suppose the other two also did the same with Harsha doing the less of sleeping......he is a voaltile matter in a new place(a flubber:-)) ). he was talking snaps of the place and us sleeping. at around noon we left the place and returned back to Banglaore.
I was sesning that a cold mite catch up and thats wat happend. we ordered Pizza from Pizza Hut......i hooged more than the mighty AK (Kishore) and Harsha....phew;-)). But AK lost his Key Bunch i suppose in Nandi Hills dat careless ass grrrrr........AK left our place at around 6 in the evening and after that I had my bath and shave and did this

Road Burners- Ooty

it was out of blues my collegue(Ganesh Rao- GG) msged me and asked me if we can go to Ooty
and i rplies why not how abt going on bikes.........thats it he was ready and so was my cubile mate (Abhi) and my roomie(Harsha) and his cousin (Suresh)
we decided to go on the weekend on three bikes the five of us
i was all excited more was my roomie as his bike is yet to cover some kms. he he he he he he he :-))
i was supposed to get up at 4:30AM get ready and pick up Abhi from Domlur and all of us were scheduled to meet at the Ring Road-Mysore Road junction at 6:00AM.
Fortunately i got up at 5:00AM as the alaram did not go on.
I was racing the very instant i hoped on the bike vroom vroom......vroooooooooooooooooooooooooom
By the time we all met upit was 6:45....and we headed to our first stop Mysore. The bangalore -Mysore road has undergone a lot of changes. A four lane road was all there to welcome us...........it was great to ride on this strech. few parts of the road are yet to be completed. We stopeed twice to attend a few call by mother nature.
There awas a peculiar scene to watch on the highway after Mandya, a bullock cart lead by a dog kinda difficult to explain this. I hope u all have seen the leaping cheetah on Jaguear Cars.....it was the same way the dog was standing on the wooden platform next to the bullocks and the driver was steering it a great scene.
We reached Mysore at around 9:45 and ppl were hungry and looked liked they eat the whole hotel out. we had breakfact in my fav hotel in Mysore GTR(Gayathri Tiffin Rooms). ihad a burping breakfast,,,,,:-)). another of my friend Ponnana joined us for a few hrs frome here, we headed to Chamundi hills, the headquartes of Lord Chamundeshwari. Spent some time there shot a few photos and departed with my friend (sigh :-(( he was supposed to travel with us but a god damn PDF document was more important to him.......waaaaa:-(() and went towards Bandipur. On the way is a place called Gundlupet, frome here we had two choices one got to Sultan Batheri a treking place in Kerla or head straight it Ooty. Sultan Bathri is 80 Km from here and logically we would require 4 Hrs to enjoy the place with the travelling and reaching the border before seemed impossible. so we decided to go Gopalswamy Betta and Bandipur. Gopalswamy Betta is a hill and on top of the hill there is a Lord Krishna temple, the drive to the top s really good. I never expected such a drive, it was damn steep, the moment u enter the Forest area it roads lead u to the top all up up n away.....phew wonder how much my bike cursed me and me cursing for buying this powerless machine on such a kind of road.grrrr grrrr grrrr grrr we reached the top of the hill and guess wat there was a traffic jam on our way up. reason being there was a Jathre (Local festivals) there and a lot of ppl had flocked in for the event. the scenary from the top of the hill is realy mind blowing and soothing. Had never seen such colours of green in my life. the place was cool and filled with all kind of ppl. we came down the hill and then our next stop was the Badipur Forest Reserve, we had lunch in a private resort called Jungle Resort. The food was really good and all of us were hungry. Then we went to the Safari. there were no expected animals to see, the usuall Deers, monkeys and Peacock. Harsha took this glorious moment in the safari to take a short nap.
After the safari we rushed to the border. There are two routes to reach Ooty from the Madumalai Forest one is via Kallahatti the road is with 36 Hair Pin Bends and the other i dont know a longer one though. After 6:00PM we cannot take the Kallahatti route, we were there at the border at sharp 6:00 Pm and started our journey to Ooty from there. the drive is cool up the hill bending my bike (which i like to do a lot) to negotiate the turns and climbing the hill......phew. On the way as we climbed up the hill it started to get colder, we stopped at Kallahatti for a cup of steming tea. Bikes were crying and coughing for a lease of life. We had two pulsar and a Unicorn with us these arent built for the Ghats, they are best for the planes. When it was around 2 Kms from Ooty my bike was not ready to climb even in the First Gear........we stopped again and Ganes switched over to his bike. From there on there was no uphill ...........damn. In the entarnace of Ooty we checked into a Hotel Comfor Inn and made ourselves comfortable. Had drinks to chill out and a good dinner and slept tight in the cold weather.
The next day we visited the Ooty Boat House, a lake and boats floating aroung in the lake nothing much to boast abt. after that we went to a place calle Coonoor 20 Km from OOty. The drive was good with some beautiful scences. From Coonoor we went to Lambs Rock. On the way there were many Tea Estates. We spent a lot of time in the estate and Lambr rock. (I have nothing to speak abt these places:-((). We headed back to Bangalore the sameday at around 2:00 PM. Filled up our tanks as the fuel is Rs3 cheaper. The way back we had lunch in Jungle Resorts and after that the drive was terrific. Straight good roads and I was racing all alone witha Maruti Zen. The occupants of the car were kinda encouraging me to do this(no gilrs though :-((). We reached Mysore at aroung 6:00 Pm and went to our college SJCE(Harsha, GG and Myself are from the same college). From there met a few more of friends on the way and went to Kool Korner a must go place in Mysore for us. We left Mysore at around 7:00 PM. At around 9:30PM we had dinner in Kamat Janapada Loka abt 55Km from Bangalore. Exotic North Karnataka food for the empty bowels. from there we continued our journey back to bangalore. We reached bangalore at 10:45 PM and by the time I reached home it was mid-night. Had some Vodka and slept. awww wat a sleep was that i guess i did not sleep like a log I SLEPT LIKE MODHU ;-))

St Johns

this weekend was not all that good as the others that i enjoyed here
i was kinda sick and the place that we went were not all that good
on sat we went to an island called St Johns Island. we thought that the place will be like Pulau Ubin.....u know where we can cycle all over the island and have some real good sea food. the island is 45 min drive by ferry, the ferry was boarded from Sentosa island. the ride was really good. swinging with the waves that come up. the island was used to quarantine people who were suffering from cholera and diseases in the 18th century and later as a temp health check place for people returning from voyage and piligrimage from mecca. this island is truly a isolated place. to our shock when we reached the place there were no hotels:-(( and above that i started off without having my breakfast. the island has a marine research centre, but the public is not allowed to enter, the so called beach is not all that inviting.....no waves at all. it is a lagoon.
we were so pissed off......so decided to sleep happily near the beach.....boy nice nap. we had to wait for the ferry to return at 2 45......till den sleep madi.....i was totally exhausted by now........we went straight back to sentosa and had luch or rather snacks at 4. then some life entered me but was not all that enthu abt doing anything.........just wanted to sleep. so we went to the beach and waited till the sunset. after the sunset headed straight back to my room. had something to eat , poped up a pill and slept tight.wish the isalnd was St Patrick Island den i would not have regreted much :-))
on sun i was woken up by my manager, he had plans of going out to Mac Ritchie Reservoir. it is one of the natural resources for water here in singapore. the place is in the heart of the mainland. boy wat a place a rall huge reservoir and a rain forest all in onle place. in the reservoir you are allowed to do water sports like rowing and canoeing etc.......the school kida were practising under the supervision of their coaches. after that we hit the jungle boy....it was a typical rainforest jungle, the sunligh hardly touche down to the ground. it started raining a little bit while we were in it.....the smell of damped soil and jungle foilage was really intoxicating. after walking for 4.5km we came to the Tree Top Walk. a suspension bridge has been erected between two hills and the bridge takes rit thru the top the trees. it was really good and a great view from that place. we thought the exit place will be near by but it took another 2 km to reach the exit, so all in all a good work out. by now the cloud formation had thickened and threating us. we reached the bus stop just in time and reached back safely without geting wet. it rained like hell yesterday reminded me of the showers that we had in bangalore causin havoc.
bak to ofc now...........hoping for some good news today from my manager abt my return date

Malaysia

Sucks to be in ofc after a long vaction. Phew I had good and bad times in these five days
Ok on Friday I got some Malaysian Rhinghit (RM)…..exchanged for 200 sing dollars……I got 450 RM and later did some shopping I got a Ray Ban glass and a Swiss Knife boy that knife is really sharp a gentle touch on my finger and there it was bleeding…any how I was excited abt my trip. The next I got up at 5 30 and got ready by 6 15 and left for Kranji it is 20 min by train. From there I had to take a bus to reach the border. Boy for the first time I saw a traffic jam in Singapore. It was all crowded with people, cars, buses and bikes. The immigration office is very impressive, as soon as I stepped into the counter the officer asked me where is the white card? The white card is an immigration-sealed card with your details on it given to you at the time when you enter the country. This is supposed to be with your passport when you leave the country. Now I did not have this card….I had left it in my hotel. The lady officer just shouted at me I was shocked and said ok I did not know that. After that another immigration officer escorted me to a higher officer who asked me a few questions and got the same form filled and stamped my passport and let me go. Now I was in no mans land, I was walking along the two countries border which is just a bridge. The Strait of Johor is all that separates the two countries. I entered the Malaysian immigration office filled up my On Arrival Form and got it stamped and there I was in Malaysia. It looks like Singapore from a distance but beware it is a hallucination. I was wondering where should I board the bus to go to Kuala Lampur (KL), when private taxi driver approached me and asked where I wanted to go , I told him I need to board a bus to go to KL. He said that the bus interchange is 5km from the immigration office and from there you can get a bus, he offered me to take me for 20 RM to the interchange. After sometime I though ok lets go. He talked about India, bollywood and actor and actresses. People there are mad about hindi movies. On reaching the interchange he told me that a VIP bus would cost 60RM to go to KL. I saw the bus and then agreed for it. On boarding the bus I asked fellow commuter what is the price for the travel and he told me it is 25RM, damn there you go I was cheated to the core. I got out of the bus and asked the guy who gave me the ticket why have been charged so much and you know what answer he gave me the TEXSI driver told them that I am his friend and that is why I am charged like that. So much for a Malaysian friendship. I did not have the number of the texsi that I had traveled in to complain to the local authorities. By now I was pissed off arguing with these thugs, extortionists, brutes, cheaters…..et.al I went and sat back in my seat all fuming like steam engine. The bus was like the economy class of Indian Airlines. So my journey started at 10 AM to KL. The place where now I am is called as Larkin in Johor State. So five hours of travel in the bus. It was kinda good , the highway was awesome and the surroundings were all green. The country is a lot greener than Singapore.

So at around 2 30 I enter KL. I saw a lot of construction going on and was welcomed with huge jam……after half an hour I reached the bus interchanged. In this half an hour I had the first impression of KL. The city is dirty, open drainage, litter thrown all over….not different from any of our Indian cities. So on reaching the interchange when I got out of the bus boy the place stank remind me of my visit to Chennai. Yuk and it was raining. I searched for my hotel recommended by my friend who had been earlier. I checked out the room, it was good enough for a bachelor. It was like the first class compartment of Indian Railways…..i guess they are better space wise. Again I did a mistake of not checking out the rest room as this was supposed be a common one, man it sucks when I went there to the loo………..wooooooooooo it was worst than my hostel loo yuk disgusting. But I had to catch on other things rather than brooding. So I got down and had lunch a Kerala Parata. The thing that annoyed me was everything here is written in Malay and not in any other foreign language. It was raining, but I decided to go on. I depended on my legs rather than a cab driver or the bus.frankly I was pissed off by now and miss Singapore badly. After 15 min of walk I reached Menara, the fourth largest communication tower in the World. It is at a height of 421m. it was a majestic structure built by man. I went up the tower and boy o boy what a view of Klfrom that height. It was marvelous. There was a guided audio which would say what is there where. I spent about one hour in the tower looking at clean KL from the top. The Petronas Twin Tower was visible from here and it was looking good. So I moved on to my next destination

The Petronas Twin Tower was awesome, a steel and glass structure of 88 floors. Actually you can go half way up in the tower but that is only in the morning and my timing was really bad. Anyhow I was much higher than what the tower could take me. I entered the tower from the main enterance. It was a red carpet welcome for any body. In the main enterance there is a chandelier, it was marvelous. As I moved on boy I entered into a world of shopping. Forum mall is no where near it….it is atleast twice its size. It has all the brands in the world not even one missed. It has 6 floor in all.just too good, I don’t think anybody could have covered the entire mall in one or two hour. I just saw one floor completely I was damn tired by now, hungry and tired. I went to the backside of the tower, there was a fountain and a open place for the crowd to just hang out in the open. All kind of people and age group come here. Sadly the girls were not that pretty.L. I had to wait for one hour for seeing the tower by the night all illuminated. There is a kid’s corner with a mini pool. The scenic beauty is good and no words can match it. So as I was waiting for the lights to turn on I was again feeling hungry and tired. Was looking for something to drink. KL has developed a lot of things but there is no maintenance, no system, they have all rules but only in paper, the drivers don’t value the lives of passengers or the pedestrians. Slowly one by one the lights were turning on and I was capturing all this on my camera. Once all the light were on it was so beautiful, black sky and light bluish green light on the tower was so good and the contrast was really good.

So after that I started walking back to a place called Chinatown. On the way there were a few pubs and clubs. I was taking snaps when a guy got excited and started waving at me to take a snap..huh he was having one hell of a time with his pals. I could see a lot of foreigners here mostly Australians. As I walked back I had to pass through the Menara, it was looking like a ring studded with diamonds. Great view. I reached Chinatown it is typical national market, all pirated stuff available at a damn cheap rate. Cds, dvd, clothes, shoes and watches. I just walked about and realized that the place has no ending, it was just going on and on and on. I was hungry and searched for a place to eat, I found a road side hawker and asked if he had fried rice and he had it. I asked for one plate and it was really good. I had one more and finally it filled my tummy. For those who would say how much does he eat the quantity in the fried rice is just one cup of rice. After having dinner I walked back to my room……I reached my room freshened up and went to call up my colleague. He is a Malaysian and lives in KL, there are a lot of people who are Malaysians and work in Singapore, they can earn more, many of them commute daily. Idiots mobile number went to the voicemail…..could not speak to him atleast he would have told me what to do. Infact he had chalked out a plan for me for this vacation. Ok I am very tired and desperately wanted to sleep. My room had a fan and not
AC, it was damn hot and I could not sleep properly. I decide to go back to Singapore the next day once I am done seeing the places in KL.
Next day I got up at 8 30 freshened up myself , had three slices of bread and checked out from the hotel. With my back pack I headed for the Batu Caves. It is on the outskirts of the city and took me one hour to rach there by bus. The bus was pathetically maintained……like our old BMTC buses fitted with AC. Anyhow the sight of the caves was really pleasing from a distance. The cave is situated on a hill top. The cave is formed by the melting of limestone. Inside the cave …….guess what we have Subramanya Swamy temple. Yes the cave is the place to Hindu gods. I had climb up the hill to reach the top of the hill, it was a steep climb. The climb was not as much as we use to climb in Chamundi Hills.you have breath taking view here at the top the hill. The cave has really strange and weird structures, all in the shape of inverted cones. A lot of Hindus settled here in Malaysia come here and shave their heads, I guess Tirupathi of the East. Sadly the temple has been decorated with the signatures of the visitors, very typical Indian temple. The walls of the caves have been adored with peoples names and I Love You’s. the last temple is situates at a different level in the cave abd here the top of the cave or the roof is open letting the sun light to fall in. oh great dat was just great. Mind you I did not have a bath. Gods Must be CrazyJ. I was there at the top of the cave for an hour and descended down to the art gallery that was present there, it was nothing but the statues of all the gods. So finally I headed back to KL. On the way I got down at National History Museum. It was a good place, got to know a few thing about the country. Did you know that Proton is the National Car of Malaysia? It is present there like the Maruti 800 in India. From there I went to the Sentral Library , it is adjacent to the museum. We cannot go there just had a look at it from outside.there were a few more buildings present there, just looked at them from outside mostly government establishments. After that I visited a few shopping malls……..ha did not buy anything from here. I had done enough shopping already in Singapore. I returned back to Chinatown to buy some CD’s and a Malaysian T-Shirt (I had seen this the previous day, it had some Malaysian sign language….nice one). I bought three audio CD’s Nirvana, Limp Bizkit and GnR and two DVD’s The Terminal and Madagascar all this for 30 RM. CD are cheap there. I thought of getting more but I did not want to land in trouble with the Singapore customs.so I headed straight back to the bus terminal where a bus was waiting to go to Singapore and boarded it. It was 3 PM and I was hungry, there were few Singaporeans and I asked them how will the route be and where in Singapore will he stop finally. They were kind enough and offered me something to eat and after they heard what happened to me they were shocked. One of them is working in SG software. He intends to come to India sometime in August.so after nearly five hours of journey we reached the border…..this time again I had problems with the Singapore immigration office. They said I don’t have a multiple entry visa to Singapore, and that my visa had expired. I told them that I have visa till 20 Jul, they said that when you get extension of visa you don’t get the multiple entry visa . anyhow they asked me to fill up the form and let me go. In the mean time the bus that I was traveling had left me and gone.they are supposed to be waiting for me. I went back and told the immigration officer what had happened and she was kind enough to escort me to another bus which would take me back to Singapore. The border is pretty far from the nearest bus stop or MRT……..so I reached to a know place and headed back to my room. Boy what a relief to be back home.

David Beckham

I slept mostly on Monday did not go out till lunch. After lunch I went to Ikea to do some shopping and called up colleague as to what she is upto. She told me that the managers mother is here and she is taking her around. She asked me to come to Mustafa and I agreed as I had to get money exchanged. We met up and had dinner and I came back to my room. I have spent nearly four hours in typing this portion. The trip was a good learning experience, I realized that I should have gone for a package trip than being adventurous but no regrets. Been there done that, could have done more but the place did not deserve me as a tourist. Anyhow the night I returned to Singapore Bhoot movie was being aired on the TV saw that and after that saw Last Action Hero……two movies straight in the night.

On Tuesday till lunch I was in my room drafting mail and editing my photos. For lunch I went Novena where a Tahi food festival is going on. I bought Thai Da Da Noodles and spring rolls, the noodles was really great hot and spicy. After having lunch I went to the Singapore Philatelic Museum. It had some good collection of stamps. I bought some 2500+ stamps for 3500 bucks. All kind of stamps from all over the world, Malaysia, Singapore and nude stampsJ. Keshav feeling good uh…..i got a box of 1000 stamps just for you. A huge collection and the IOC Session stamps too that is happening here today. There are so many that I can spend a whole week looking at them and sorting……phew. After seeing the museum I went to the Central Fire Station Museum it was a fire station with all old fire extinguisher equipment. Behind the museum there is Fort Canning Park. It is a hill, on the top of the hill is present Fort Canning where the king used to live in the 19th century. It is a beautiful place admits a lot of greenery. I was surprised to find so much green in the centre of Singapore. I spent around one hour on the top of the hill. I knew that the 117th IOC session was starting today in Singapore and I took my chances to the venue The Raffels Convention Centre, there was tight security and no chances of me going there. So I headed towards The Esplanade. There was some drumming going on there with some typical Chinese dragon dance, I wanted to watch it so I went there. To my surprise all the delegates from the 5 cities were arriving there. And what do I see David Beckham……wahoooooooooooooooooo I saw him it was a great feelingJ. He had come here to represent London. Raul was also here for Madrid and Muhamad Ali for NY, but these guys were not be seen. Beck was wearing a light brown suit and trouser, boy he had that gentle man looks and he sure is he waved at us as he entered the theatre with his compatriots. I waited for nearly one hour for the others to arrive, but they had already arrived at the venue. So I headed back to the Raffels MRT. On the way is the Fullerton Hotel. Here I saw all kind of cars Benz A-Class, Rolls Roy, Lexus, BMW 7-Series and convertibles. I shot all of themJ…….somebody might have thought me as a mad guy tacking snaps in the parking lot……who gives a damn. So I got back to Novena got a tuna bun and two cans of beer. Had the bun and a can of beer and I am done telling you people about my endeavors.

the boil that i had developed after coming here on the inside of my lip was bitten badly yesterday night while having dinner
it had grown into a huge ball in the afternoon itself and was irritating me a lot while having lunch......grrrrrrrrr
later in the night while i was having TUNA FISH BUN my carnivorous teeths dug deep into the boil and cut it half open
a ow............there it was half open, blood oozing out of the boil like a fountain...................it was a total mess but it did not pain
i got hold of some cotton to stop the bleeding and finally decided to remove the growth......i started pulling out all the stuff slowly

Venkatesh Prasad

Hi PPL
Goooood morning
I am very tired while I m writing this mail to u ppl….it is a PITA
I had a very eventful week end and mind it I mean it
On fri along with my colleagues I went for shopping they wanted to but cameras, clothes and gold and they finished in the night at around 11, by the time I reached room it was mid night watched Species II and then slept.
On sat we had planned to go to Sentosa. It is an island converted into a Resort and a entertainment spot all in one place……..it is a major tourist attraction in Singapore …if u visit Singapore u have to go to Sentosa. Other major attraction is the cable car ride. Unfortunately the operations were suspended as they were upgrading the facility, it would have been a great ride and sightL. It is around 30 minute ride from Little India. We had lunch in a Veg RestaurantL…..on reaching the place we first went to the Underwater World, this place has all kinds of fishes…..man I missed out eating a lot of them we were there for pretty long time……..shooting a lot of pictures and filming some shots too…it was great. It was underground, surrounded by water and we were moving through that enclosure…..like a secret tunnel in those bond movies. Very delighted to be there. After the underwater world oh wait I got a chain with a fish skeletal structure as the pendantJ …..in memory of the fishes I hadJ. So we moved on to Dolphin Lagoon, here they have three PINK coloured dolphins. These dolphins put a great show it was really beautiful……pink willy???the dolphins did a lot of tricks and gave a kiss to one of the audiences.
After that we went to the beach…….it was full of young ppl s s s girlzzzz too they were good. A lot of activity was going on the beach…..showing up the enthu and energy of Singapore. So from there we went to Musical Fountain, we had to wait for nearly one hour for the show to start, behind the presentation arena was a Merlion…..it was a real huge one. It was a great sight to watch. On to my right there was Carlsberg Sky Tower….it is a amusement ride they take about 20+ floors up and rotate it 360 deg so u can take a look a at Singapore from that height. While we were waiting for the show to start to start something good hapnd….guess wat?? Venkatesh Prasad along with his son and a local friend of his came and sat next to us. Wow he asked in Kannada “yennappa heg iddira”…..wonder how he cud fig out dat we were from Bangalore. Anyway he went on n on n on jab jab jab,,,,,,,it was fun.. we had photo session and der were a lot of ppl for dat too…..he handles his fame with ease and he speaks English wid a great accent!!thames lofar......grrrrrrr:-(

What we were waiting for finally started at 7 30 , the Musical Fountain Show with a Laser show. Wow a one hell of event, technology, simplicity and presentation at its best .40 min of pure entrainment. The crowd went ooh and ah!!I was spellbound, so was my camera damn thing went out off memory and battery…..512+16 mb of mem and 2 batt used to the full extent. They were using a thin a sheet of water sprayed into the air at high pressure as the screen for the laser show. It was awesome they showed fishes, dolphins jumping in and out of the water exactly as u wud have seen in tv and the face of a beautiful lady as u wud have seen on a plasma tv…….now can u imagine how technology was used here. After the show we bid fare well to our Indian hero and proceeded towards Mustafa for shopping and dinner. Again veg dinnerLit kinda upset my tummy i m kidding i felt like a pure veg guy trying to eat chicken remember the way maddy ate chicken in the movie RHTDM to impress the shrilling Diya Mirza…….and my collegues shopped and after that we returned bak to our respective rooms. I reached at mid night again.

Next day on Sunday the manager who is here on deputation for six months and myself took of to an island called Pulau Ubin. I left my place at 10 30 and met him and together went ahead to our destination. It took us one and a half hour for the journey. We had to take a ferry to the island man I was excited……;on a ferry cutting thru the oceans water towards our island. The island had a lot of things in store for us just waiting for our arrival. As soon as we reached we got ourselves bicycles…..yes we can ride our bikes all thru the island, the island is not touched by the urbanization dat u find in Singapore. We kept on cycling thru the island admiring the pure nature that was with us all the time. It was raining for some time and then it wud stop and den again it wud hapn. The only thing dat I did not like was on the shores ppl had just left all scrap and was floating all the placeL. We cycled for abt 3hrs totaly. I guess thru all kinds of places……………on raods, dirt tracks swamps n mangroves, up hill down hill….puffing n panting and zipping and zooming. We were very hungry and hit the hotel for food, we had prawns a Chinese foos and fried rice and BEER to wash it down, Carlsberg (from Denmark) and Tiger(locally brewed like KF bak home). We were full and desperately looking ahead for the beach . when we reached the beach I was shocked, not a soul in the waters, any how we had to do it so we hit the beach. Just the two of us in the water. The island has a few Chinese & Bhudist temples, a resort and a prawn farm. There is nothing much to c on the island only cycling thru the jungle hmmm not exactly. We finally reached bak to our starting point at 5 30 and returned our bikes and bak to main land. My battery went off totally at this point of time and wanted to reach my room desperately. On the way I got my dinner and chocolate milk. Reached my room and while watching Spiderman I have managed to type u guys my rollcall.puffing and pantingqwertfgbggn
