St Johns

this weekend was not all that good as the others that i enjoyed here
i was kinda sick and the place that we went were not all that good
on sat we went to an island called St Johns Island. we thought that the place will be like Pulau Ubin.....u know where we can cycle all over the island and have some real good sea food. the island is 45 min drive by ferry, the ferry was boarded from Sentosa island. the ride was really good. swinging with the waves that come up. the island was used to quarantine people who were suffering from cholera and diseases in the 18th century and later as a temp health check place for people returning from voyage and piligrimage from mecca. this island is truly a isolated place. to our shock when we reached the place there were no hotels:-(( and above that i started off without having my breakfast. the island has a marine research centre, but the public is not allowed to enter, the so called beach is not all that inviting.....no waves at all. it is a lagoon.
we were so pissed off......so decided to sleep happily near the beach.....boy nice nap. we had to wait for the ferry to return at 2 45......till den sleep madi.....i was totally exhausted by now........we went straight back to sentosa and had luch or rather snacks at 4. then some life entered me but was not all that enthu abt doing anything.........just wanted to sleep. so we went to the beach and waited till the sunset. after the sunset headed straight back to my room. had something to eat , poped up a pill and slept tight.wish the isalnd was St Patrick Island den i would not have regreted much :-))
on sun i was woken up by my manager, he had plans of going out to Mac Ritchie Reservoir. it is one of the natural resources for water here in singapore. the place is in the heart of the mainland. boy wat a place a rall huge reservoir and a rain forest all in onle place. in the reservoir you are allowed to do water sports like rowing and canoeing etc.......the school kida were practising under the supervision of their coaches. after that we hit the jungle boy....it was a typical rainforest jungle, the sunligh hardly touche down to the ground. it started raining a little bit while we were in it.....the smell of damped soil and jungle foilage was really intoxicating. after walking for 4.5km we came to the Tree Top Walk. a suspension bridge has been erected between two hills and the bridge takes rit thru the top the trees. it was really good and a great view from that place. we thought the exit place will be near by but it took another 2 km to reach the exit, so all in all a good work out. by now the cloud formation had thickened and threating us. we reached the bus stop just in time and reached back safely without geting wet. it rained like hell yesterday reminded me of the showers that we had in bangalore causin havoc.
bak to ofc now...........hoping for some good news today from my manager abt my return date
